1955 Ford Crown Victoria

1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria

The Ford line of cars gained a new body for 1955, although it remained similar to the 1952 Ford underneath. The new-for-1955 Y-Block 272 cu in Thunderbird V-8 was now offered in a 182 hp with 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. Apart from the engine changes, customers were sure to notice the new Fairlane, which replaced the Crestline as the top trim level, while a new Crown Victoria-style featured a chrome "basket handle" across the familiar (and continued) "Victoria" hardtop roof.

This first year Crown Victoria is presented in Raven Black and Wimbledon White two-tone paint scheme with matching interior. The body is straight and the panel fit is excellent. All of the chrome trim and bright work is present and in good condition.

This Crown Victoria is optioned with front and rear bumper guards, full wheel covers, fender skirts and twin fender mirrors. Interior features are factory radio, heater and clock.

It is powered by the 182 hp, 272 cu in Thunderbird V-8 with 4 barrel carburetor and dual exhausts along with the Ford-o-Matic automatic transmission.
