1979 Fiat Spider

First marketed as the Fiat 124 Spider in 1969, the name was changed for the new 1979 model to Fiat 2000 Spider to signify the 2 liter engine upgrade. The Spider featured four-wheel disc-brakes, double overhead cams, intermittent wipers, steering-column mounted lighting-controls, radial ply tires and a five-speed manual transmission. An optional three-speed automatic transmission from General Motors was available from 1979 through 1985 for North America. Its convertible top was known for its simplicity of use and can be raised and locked in under a minute.

This beautiful Fiat Spider is exceptionally clean and is presented in Classic White with tan top and interior. It is powered by a 2.0 liter double overhead camshaft engine and a 3 speed automatic transmission.

The interior shows very well with very nice upholstery, door panels, console and wood grain dash. The folding convertible top is in great condition. There is a matching top boot cover as well.

It features a deck-mounted luggage rack, wheel trim beauty rings and a Clarion AM-FM stereo radio with CD player.
