1949 Ford Woody Wagon

The 1949 models debuted at a gala at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City in June 1948, with a carousel of the new Fords complemented by a revolving demonstration of the new chassis. The new integrated steel structure was advertised as a "lifeguard body", and even the woody wagon was steel at heart. The convertible frame had an "X member" for structural rigidity.

This Ford Woody has been recently restored with NOS Ford wood. The body is laser straight and the Black paint finish is as nice as any you will find. The chrome grille, bumpers and bright work are a work of art. The interior is presented in tan leather in original fashion. The wood grained dash and garnish moldings are as nice as the day it rolled from the assembly line. The transmission is shifted by the stock column-mounted shifter and it also features built-in Vintage Heat and Air Conditioning.

The drive train consists of a 350 Chevrolet V-8 and it is dressed as a vintage Oldsmobile Rocket, a popular swap back in the day. It is backed by a GM Turbo 350 transmission and Ford 9" rear differential. The chassis features an independent front suspension with rack and pinion steering and disc brakes.

Not only is this Ford Woody an excellent build, it also runs and drives great!
