1958 Chevrolet Impala

The Impala was introduced for the 1958 model year as top of the line Bel Air hardtops and convertibles. From the windshield pillar rearward, the 1958 Bel Air Impala differed structurally from the lower-priced Chevrolet models. GM was promoting their fiftieth year of production, and introduced anniversary models for each brand and the all-new Chevrolet Bel-Air Impala was just that car. 1958 was also the first year for the all-new 348 cubic inch "W" engine series, the forerunner to the big block.

This Impala is presented in Ebony Black and is super straight. The panel fit and finish is superb. The chrome and stainless trim, which was at its pinnacle in 1958, is exquisite. The interior is authentic in the Tri-tone Black/Aqua/White with matching door panels, carpet and headliner. The dash is extremely nice as is the dash brightwork.

This Impala is powered by the new for 1958 W block 348 and has the optional 3X2 carburetor set up, known as Tri-Power. It is backed by a column-shifted automatic transmission. Upgrade include modern day power steering and brakes, alternator, BFG Radial T/A's mounted on polished American wheels and trunk-mounted CD and amplifier.
