1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster 5 Passenger Coupe

The Series DJ Stylemaster was introduced as the base trim level model in 1946. The Stylemaster, which was essentially an updated 1942 Chevrolet Master Deluxe was powered by a 216.5 cu in Straight-six engine driving through a 3 speed manual transmission.

The 1948 Series 1500 FJ Stylemaster was changed very little from the previous year .There were no significant body alterations, however the radiator grille featured a vertical center bar.

This original Stylemaster is an older restoration that has been very well preserved. The light gray finish is typical of the early post war era and shows very well. The chrome trim and brightwork is in excellent condition. Exterior options include bumper guards front and rear, fog lamps, dual mirrors, white sidewall tires and trim rings. The body panel fit and finish is indicative of a nicely kept rust free car.

The interior is presented in original style Bedford cloth with excellent door panels, headliner, carpeting and garnish moldings. Interior options include factory radio, heater and clock.

This Stylemaster is powered by the 216 cubic inch inline six, affectionately known as the Stovebolt Six. It is backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. This car performs and handles very well.
