1955 GMC 100 Suburban 1/2-Ton Carryall Wagon

This 1955 GMC Suburban Carryall has been in the same family since it was new. The re-build started in 1997, it had a couple of starts and stops but once finished in 2013 it has gone on to win many awards wherever it has been shown. Most notably two Best of Show, the first being, Rogue Valley Corvettes in Ashland OR and Enterprise High School Kool April Nights in Redding CA; Hot Hauler at Good Guys in Spokane WA; Hot Haulin at Kool April Nights Redding CA; Best in Class at the Portland Roadster Show as well as Outstanding Interior for Trucks as judged by the International Show Car Association at the Portland Roadster Show where it was given and overall rating of “super” by the ISCA judges.

The truck was brought back to its better than showroom condition by Vintage Hot Rod and Design in Chico CA. Power comes from a GM 350 ci engine modified by Pro Machine in Chico CA developing a true 325 hp and 375 lbs of torque passed along to a Turbo 400 transmission by GM and on to a Ford 9” rear end with 3.78:1 gears. The overall fit and finish of this truck is fantastic. The two tone gray paint is single stage by PPG. Interior is by Ed Harr of Harr Motor Trim in Prospect OR, and the stance is by RCM Hot Rods in Merlin OR.
